why would a such thing be left for him?
there's many reasons as to why, and one of them could be the note that's addressed to no one, or maybe the worm that's lovingly hidden in his pocket? the one that we like best though, as to why this would be given to him on such a special day may be the light steps that sloshes on wet grass from behind him and the rock that comes down on the back of his head— not enough force to kill (unfortunately), but enough to stagger him, and knock him unconscious.
